Programmes
Three formats. One purpose: the work.
Every Foundry Lex programme is structured around the question a founder brings. The format differs; the commitment to considered, unhurried working conversation does not.

How every engagement is structured
The intake process does real work. Before any pairing is made, the programme team speaks with each applicant to understand what they are building, who they are building it for, and what the specific question is that they want to spend time on. That question shapes the mentor selection, the first working session, and the overall direction of the engagement.
Mentors are not assigned — they are matched. Both sides confirm the pairing is appropriate before the engagement begins. This adds a step to the process and we think it is worth it.
Intake call first
Every engagement starts with a structured intake call. Not a sales call — a working conversation to surface the actual question.
Confirmed pairing
Mentors are selected for the specific domain context. Both sides confirm before the engagement begins.
Consistent rhythm
Fortnightly sessions maintain continuity without crowding out the build work between meetings.
Written throughout
Session notes within 48 hours. Engagements close with a reflection memo. Writing anchors the thinking.
Six-month engagement
One-to-One Mentorship
A six-month engagement pairing a founding team member with a mentor drawn from the Foundry Lex network. Includes a structured intake call, twelve fortnightly working sessions on themes the founder selects, written notes between sessions, and an end-of-engagement reflection memo. Suited to founders who already have a working version of their idea and want considered conversation partners as it matures.
- Structured intake call to surface and clarify the working question
- Twelve fortnightly sessions, each around ninety minutes
- Written session notes shared within 48 hours
- Mid-engagement review to assess direction and adjust if needed
- Closing reflection memo produced by the mentor at end of engagement
Small-group, one quarter
Quarterly Cohort Programme
A small-group cohort programme running over a quarter, with seven to ten teams meeting fortnightly with rotating themes — product structure, customer conversation, operational discipline, fundraising mechanics as a non-financial topic, and hiring as an organizational design choice. Includes a closing showcase day for invited reviewers. The group stays small enough for genuine conversation across teams.
- Seven to ten teams — cohort size capped by design
- Fortnightly sessions with rotating practitioner-led themes
- Peer exchange and cross-team working within the group
- Closing showcase day with invited practitioner reviewers
- Session summaries shared with all cohort participants
Single session
Founder Office Hours
A small-bore engagement: a single ninety-minute working session with a mentor on a specific question the founder brings, with a short written follow-up note. Useful as an entry point to the programme or as occasional input for founders not in a structured programme. The session is not a consulting appointment — it is a working conversation, and the note afterwards captures what the conversation arrived at.
- Ninety-minute working session with a domain-relevant mentor
- Short written follow-up note provided after the session
- Flexible scheduling, including evenings where needed
- Useful as a standalone or as a step toward a longer engagement

What every engagement includes
Confidentiality
What founders share in working sessions is held in confidence. Mentors do not discuss session content with other programme participants or external parties.
Sector-specific matching
Mentor selection reflects the domain context of the founder's question. The intake process makes sure the pairing is relevant before the engagement starts.
Proper documentation
Tax receipts for all fees. Written session notes. Closing documentation for longer engagements. Nothing informal about the administrative side.
No equity, no share
Foundry Lex does not take equity or revenue share in any participating company. The fee is the fee, and the work is the work.
Feedback at every stage
Structured feedback from both founder and mentor at the close of each engagement — and at the midpoint of longer ones — informs how the programme develops.
Data handled properly
Personal data is handled in accordance with the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486). Founder information is not shared beyond what the administration of the engagement requires.

Not sure which programme fits?
Start with office hours. A single ninety-minute session is a low-commitment way to experience the working style and figure out whether a longer engagement makes sense. Many founders who are now in the one-to-one programme began there.
